The 3 in1 drug free answer to incontinence.

Your right to laughter!

For anyone suffering from incontinence, normal living is often a bit of a challenge. The trouble begins with “little accidents” that happen while laughing, coughing or taking physical exercise. Things later escalate and the wetting becomes more of a permanent problem. Many sufferers feel embarrassed and withdraw from their normal lives. Going anywhere becomes a major planning exercise and having to know where the nearest toilet is becomes almost an obsession. Many incontinence sufferers resign themselves to staying indoors and often end up feeling sad, lonely and isolated. But it doesn’t need to be like that!

Clinical research shows that therapies such as Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) and Electromyography (EMG - Biofeedback), can make a significant contribution to the effective treatment of all forms of incontinence.

CombiStim XP® is neurotech’s latest device for the treatment of incontinence. Easy to use, flexible and very effective, CombiStim XP® combines the benefits of EMS and EMG in one device. Depending on the patient’s specific needs, CombiStim XP® can be used as a pure Biofeedback device, a pure Muscle Stimulator or as a Combined Biofeedback/Muscle Stimulation device which automatically contracts the patient’s pelvic floor muscles on achievement of a preset manual contraction target.

Everyone has the right to laughter and with CombiStim XP® we want to ensure that our patients take the first steps towards curing their condition and getting back their quality of life

3 treatment options

  1. EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation): By means of gentle electrical impulses, EMS recruits and contracts the pelvic floor muscles thereby strengthening and training them
  2. EMG (Electromyography): EMG is like an electronic personal coach that monitors the strength and quality of your own voluntary muscle contractions and let’s you know how your doing via audio and visual (on screen) feedback.
  3. ETS: (EMG-Triggered Stimulation): ETS is the combination of both technologies. Here, the EMG measures the strength of the patient’s own voluntary contraction and once a preset threshold level is reached, triggers a subsequent EMS driven involuntary contraction.

7 Programmes

CombiStim XP® comes with 7 programmes including an open EMS programme where the clinician can choose and set desired stimulation parameters.
